Target Audience Physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other eligible health care professionals charged with reading and interpreting esophageal motility (manometry and impedance/manometry) and reflux (acid (pH) and impedance/pH) testing.

Goal To expand the attendee's understanding of the normal and abnormal diagnostic test. Reading and interpretation strategies utilize lecture and review of actual tracings. Esophageal manometry, impedance/manometry, acid (pH) and impedance/pH procedures are used to develop an understanding of the clinical manifestations of the abnormalities of the esophagus.

· Manometric and impedance interpretation overview reviews actual tracings by Dr. Castell. Utilization of numerous examples help the user understand the hiatal hernia patient, those with achalasia, distal esophageal spasm, ineffective esophageal motility and other abnormalities seen by the practicing physician
· Reflux testing is dedicated to discussing the acid (pH) and impedance/pH studies and the interpretation of these studies
